"The House of Doors" by Tan Twan Eng

I really liked the fact that this book is set in Penang so that automatically made me more inclined to like it. The writing is engaging and this story does not include the brutal violence of his other novels. It's a story about societal rules and the law. There's a clever intersection between real individuals and fiction. An intriguing and enjoyable read. I gave it 4 stars out of 5. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/65215270-the-house-of-doors
