"Peach Blossom Spring" by Melissa Fu

I liked this book because of it's connections with Taiwan. It covers decades (from 1938 to 2005) which means there's a lot of skimming over of things and occasional references. It tells the stories of a Mother, her Son and his daughter. I think if this was the first book I had read of this genre then i might have been more engaged. Instead I read the book waiting for something to materialise which never did. It's fairly long and I finished the book feeling gloomy and that it could have been more interesting if it focused on one character and explored some of the suggested pathways in more detail. I gave this book 3 stars out of 5. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/58231775-peach-blossom-spring
