"The House at Riverton" by Kate Morton
A slightly predictable but engaging read. It's long but the story (just about) kept me reading. There's a change in narration style of the story about three quarters through which reveals the secret which the story has been building up to throughout. Whilst this starts as the focus of the story it seems to get lost partway through and then come back to the fore. There are some other stories teased throughout which are not followed through. This is a lengthy one so it's disappointing that they weren't. Maybe the author was considering a second book?
I gave it 3 stars out of 5, ***.
