"Purple Hibiscus" by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

This is a book which reads like a coming of age classic. I have read a few of this author's books before and rated them all but this is a standout book. There's so much covered in the space of just over 300pages. I liked the voice of the narrator, the sense of change both nationally, within her own family, her home and herself. I could not have anticipated the story itself and there's so much in the book to consider. 5 stars out of 5.
