"Five quarters of the orange" by Joanne Harris

I didn't really enjoy this book. I read it with a sense of foreboding from the outset. I found it painfully slow as it built to the finale, which seemed obvious rather than a surprise. I found all the characters vile in their own way. It did make me think about good and evil in different contexts.
