"The Mother's Promise" by Sally Hepworth

In comparision to the previous book I read this one was much lighter and definitely needed. It is a beautiful story of a single mother diagnosed with cancer. Her daughter is a teenager suffering from social anxiety disorder. The story is a tale of friendship, maternal instincts, motherhood and survival. It did make me cry a few times but was really positive and uplifting. The story cleverly weaves all of the central characters together. It was really enjoyable and well written. 4 stars out of 5.
