Lola in the Mirror by Trent Dalton

I thought this book was incredible.  It is set in Brisbane, Australia and led me into a world which is so different to my own.  There are twists and tension throughout. It made me smile and cry.  Trent Dalton seems to have a rare talent in his writing.  There are terrifying characters and you have to question your instincts after one of the first twists.  The characters are incredibly well written and the main character somehow works her way into your heart.  This is a high octane book with lots of action, love and friendships throughout.  I will definitely be exploring more of Trent Dalton's work.
